Paul Keating: Great PM or Greatest PM

Well, for some ungodly reason I didn’t sleep, and amongst other lucid non-shane specification items, I was for some reason reading about the former Prime Minister Paul Keating.
After reading his many speeches, obtaining an understanding on his point of view on many many issues that were and are still current in Australia, I come to realise that our Prime Ministers of late are ratshit; well, at least in my mind. It’s a shame I was too young to vote when Paul Keating was last up for election, because he would of had my vote in an instant. He was known for his great use of the english vocabulary as well, used in both political fashion and as an extra kick in the teeth when he was hating on the former Prime Minister Howard.
There is a heap of speeches on his website, Redfern Speech and his many speeches on Australian Economy and Society, especially his one regarding the media and it’s quality of reporting, and it’s influence in Australia.
All in all he was a great person, and I wholly believe we need a politician like him back in the reigns, to steer us away from the xenophobic, dumb, racist, ignorant and ill-informed nation we are becoming (at least, in my relatively young and underexposed mind…)
