I feel pressured to write this article because there are some amongst us who are caught up in the 4chan craze; the lolcats, the black afros, “yo dawgs”, putting a picture of an animal on a colourful background with some mindbendingly uncreative, unintelligent dribble. I ask but one thing of you all…
2009 was the cruellest year, breeding forums out of the dead land, mixing memory and desire, stirring a barren wasteland of posting activity. The forums kept us warm, a bastion of refuge in forgetful snow, feeding the curious masses with a trickle of information. Summer surprised us, coming over the impassable alps of silence and fear, continuing into the garden of nothing, and went on in sunlight. The patrons drank energy drinks, and spoke of the mystery that is WALAN.
